Over the past two years, I have been pushing my work in a new direction that I believe is starting to show who I want to become as an artist. Although I have branched out into a variety of new media types, including block prints, cyanotype, and acrylic, my focus has remained on portraiture and nature. Most recently, I have begun to explore man’s relationship with nature, and am greatly influenced by the organic quality of works by Gustav Klimt, Amedeo Modigliani, and Anna Kincaide. In the majority of my work, I associate each subject's personality and set of features with elements found in nature. Focusing on the idea that everyone has an individual relationship with nature, every piece I create has an "emotional" color palette and unique motifs.
